What follows is a preview of NECA's plans for the upcoming year! Please note that these expansions are still in the development stages, and are subject to change.
Tournament Kit (May 2006)
 NECA is releasing new cards in early 2006 as part of its special Tournament Kit! These exclusive cards will be sent to each Tournament Director each time they run an event to be given out as prizes after the tournament. These special cards include new versions of Lock, Shock, and Barrel that center on their Trick-or-Treating skills, as well as cards that enhance certain strategies from the Premiere set such as the Sandy Claws strategy. In addition, there will be new cards such as "Everybody make a scene" and "Old Sparkly" that reward players for activating all 6 Locales in their Halloweentown!
Christmas Town Expansion (May 2006)
 The Christmas Town Expansion will include 130 new cards and adds a whole new layer of strategy to The Nightmare Before Christmas TCG. Players will now be able to include Locales from Christmas Town for their Locale Decks, and then play residents of Christmas Town there. Players will enjoy a plethora of new Characters that include the Elves of Christmas Town and that pie-baking wonder, Mrs. Claus! Players can choose to pursue an "anti-Halloween" side strategy that allows them to build cheerful Creations in Christmas Town that negate the value of their opponent's Halloweentown Creations. Players will also be able to "cross the line" between the two Holiday Towns, exploring "what if" scenarios such as the abduction of even more Christmas Town residents by Lock, Shock, and Barrel. Oogie Boogie is about to add a lot more variety to his diet!
The Real World Expansion (August 2006)
 The Real World Expansion will be a stand-alone expansion (with new Starter Decks) and a total of 150 new cards. This set will include new versions of ALL the Characters in Halloweentown (plus some really obscure Characters not yet released, such as Pumpkin Boy and the Rat!). Players will also be able to send Jack Skellington on his Christmas Eve journey to the Real World, allowing players to actually deliver the Creations that they build during the game to earn bonus Scare Points! New Characters in the set will also include the boys and girls who are horrified by Jack Skellington's infamous Christmas deliveries.
