Jack & ZeroThis was my favorite deck during playtesting because it performed the most consistently. It requires a lot of "in-game strategy" which also made it the most fun to play. There are 8 Rare Cards, so it is of medium difficulty to build. Trading for the extra copy of Hello, Oogie and the Ultra-Rare Look What You've Done will be your biggest challenge to building it.

Strategy

Your main goal with this deck is to set up the Pumpkin Patch as soon as possible. Zero is your main Character to place beneath the Patch since he doesn't cost any Pumpkin Points to play. He's also great for playing Fetch while you're spending turns setting up the Patch. Keep searching for Zero and playing him to the Pumpkin Patch so that you can avoid banishing any of your point-providing Characters beneath the Patch for as long as possible.

If the Pumpkin Patch comes up late in your Locale Deck, you'll need to be careful where you play your Characters in preparation for its arrival. Try to build up a big group at one of the Locales on the edge of your Halloweentown so they can make a mass exodus to the Patch when it comes out. Sometimes you can assist in this movement by using the text on Igor and/or the Mummy Boy, or by using the Function on Sally's Room. You may also need to spend one turn using the "Move 4 Cards" Function of Jack's House.

To draw cards, you will need to set up the Crypt as well, allowing you to draw 4 cards whenever you run too low. Cards like Mellow Trio, My Fantasies, and Fetch will also help you acquire cards during your turn, so don't use the Crypt until it's absolutely necessary.

Hello, Oogie is your main vehicle for interacting with your opponent. Spending 3 PP's to attack your opponent is very costly, but if you are using this when performing the Function on the Pumpkin Patch, you will be able to play other cards during the same turn. Deadly Nightshade is also an important interactive card if it looks like your opponent is relying heavily on Dr. Finklestein. Ditto for Look What You've Done vs. an Oogie Deck.

For defense, make sure you hold onto Pull Yourself Together when it's in your hand. Don't use it to search for Sally unless you really need her to help you play the Sandy Claws Outfit or to gain the bonus (and avoid the penalty) from the Black Cat. Also, when you draw your Halloweentown Gates, make sure you play it as soon as possible. Protecting Jack is extremely important in this deck, as he is very vulnerable to What Have I Done? and other Surprises towards the end of the game when you will most need to keep the Pumpkin Patch active.

Your goal should be to perform the Function on the Pumpkin Patch at least 3 times during the game (using up all 6 Pumpkin Points each time). If you can accomplish this, you will be able to show your opponent why Jack is the undisputed King of Halloween!
